However, he started losing it when he joined politics in 2018. He was a supporter of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) the ruling party and was actively campaigning for President Museveni in the 2021 general elections.
Fans were not happy about it because they expected musicians to support their own, Bobi Wine, who was also contesting for the presidential seat. From there, King Michael started facing backlash and his music career began to crumble.
In 2019, he organized a concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval but it flopped. A few fans showed up, something that left him in terrible losses.
After the elections, he further went on to face some more trolls. He finally got out of politics and started doing his own things.
According to King Michael, he has been in the music industry for so long. If it wasn’t because of politics, he would have had a successful concert in 2019.
The real reason why his show flopped was because of too much politics at that moment. He added that even the people he was supporting didn’t try hard for him.
“I had a concert in 2019 but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. The real reason was because of too much politics because that time, I was supporting the ruling party and campaigning for President Museveni. Some of my fans were very angry hence failing to turn up for my concert,” he revealed.
