The 29-year-old former Serbian International footballer Katai has now left LA Galaxy by mutual agreement, ‘part of the statement reads on the club’s website.
This happened after the player’s wife identified as Tea mocked the ‘Black Lives Matter’ campaign and recommended violence against all those protesting the death of George Floyd.
The series of posts on Instagram were later deleted after LA Galaxy officially declared them as ‘racist and violent’.
In over thirty cities across the United States, thousands of protesters in Los Angeles California have joined demonstrations against police brutality on black people and racism.
Aleksander subsequently wrote on his Instagram while apologizing for his wife’s intolerable posts.
“These views are not ones that I share and are not tolerated in my family as well,” he wrote.
“I am very sorry for the pain these posts have caused the LA Galaxy family and all allies in the fight against racism,’he added.

The Serbian professional footballer joined LA Galaxy from Chicago fire and played only the first 2 games before matches got suspended due to covid-19 crisis.
