He sent out 50 messages to 50 of his contacts. 30 of these were female while 20 were male. The message said ‘Blessed Sunday, I love You.’
Apparently, 37 people replied replied with a ‘blessed Sunday to you too.’ It was only one who replied with the same exact message he sent out. 12 people were yet to respond.
Kasingye, therefore, questioned whether love is only associated with sexual terms in Uganda. He highlighted part of the Ten Commandments which say love your neighbor.
Furthermore, the former Policeman narrated a reply to his post that had his ribs cracking. One lady told him to be careful and not get ashamed when he has already grown up. This is after he said that he loves her and a blessed Sunday.
“I did a small survey this morning. I sent this message to fifty people in my contacts. 30 females, 20 males. “BLESSED SUNDAY. I LOVE YOU”. Thirty-seven replied “blessed Sunday to you too”. Only one replied “Blessed Sunday Afande. I love you too”. Twelve haven’t responded. Is it difficult to tell someone that I love you? Does love in this country only have sexual innuendoes? God gave us Ten Commandments. Two of them he said were very important. Matthew 22:36-40, “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart” and “love thy neighbour as thyself.”

His followers told him how the word love in Uganda can’t be said to anyone. It has to be specific. On top of that, terms and conditions apply to it.
Besides, you can’t go around telling people of your fellow gender how you love them. This is because they might perceive it in the wrong way according to his social media followers.
Meanwhile, sources recently revealed Mbarara is a hotbed of HIV in the country.
