The Founder and executive chairman of the telecommunications, media, and technology company Econet Wireless Strive Masiyiwa said he did not actually study accounting, and for a long time he was self taught. But as he progressed with his business, and knew that one day he would sit on boards of companies.
He decided to enroll for an ACCOUNTING course at a local college which was about six months after hours, and sometimes during the week.
”When I finished the course work, I left without even getting a certificate since it required other modules in Economics that I considered basic since I studied Economics at University. I did not need the certificate, I needed the knowledge,’said Strive Masiyiwa.
It is this week one of the most important skills that I have. You should consider doing a similar course even on Online, if you want to run your business properly,’he added.
