Thomas Thabane, 80, who has been a prime minister since June 2017, could be prosecuted over the murder of his ex-wife. Sources that told AFP in a telephone interview on Tuesday indicated that he is retiring because of old age.
Thabane and his then wife Lipolelo Thabane, 58, were going through a rough moment and in the process she was shot to death outside her home 2 days before her husband’s 2017 swearing in as a new prime minister.
Lesotho is among the most peaceful countries across the African continent and easy to manage and rule compared to other nations which are considered to be complicated, but clear reports confirms that the Prime minister is resigning over old age.
“I am no longer “energetic” and will step down in July as the country’s leader” He revealed.
