Radio died in 2018 after a bar brawl with a bouncer at a local drinking joint. He left five children behind from three different women.
Two of them were white ladies and Lilian Mbabazi was the only Ugandan woman. Radio and Lilian had two children, their first born being just seven years old by the time of Radio’s death.
According to Lilian Mbabazi, she recalls the children asking about their father and she didn’t know what to tell them. She had to request her mother to tell the children what had happened to their father.
The singer said although the children were asking about their father, she thought that Mowzey Radio’s close friends would be there for his family.
She said that was not the case and she came to realize that people who truly loved Radio were the ones that were not so close to him.
“As a mother of Mowzey Radio’s children and as a person who was very close to him, I knew his friends. But after his death, I realized that people he called friends were not real friends. The ones that truly loved him were not so close to him,” she said.
She also talked about the foul play in Radio’s death that no one paid attention to up to this day.
