Nigeria Ranked Highest For The Number Of Children Whose Births Were Not Registered.

At least for every 10 Nigerian children aged 5 years,there are no birth records despite being with names, their birth isn’t registered with authorized bodies and their identity is questionable.

According to UNICEF report called ‘’Generation 2030’’ in Africa, most African children with no birth certificates are found in Nigeria.

The generation 2030 report also revealed that between 2015 and 2050, the West African country will be having more 257 million residents closely followed by Ethiopia 89M and DRC with 84M, according to the reports from Van guard ngr.

Africa’s greatest number of childbirth is in Nigeria and by end of 2015, almost 20 percent of childbirth on the African continent were only in Nigeria and globally it was 5%. According to the report between 2015 to 2030, an estimate of over 130 million birth will occur in Nigeria.

Birth registration is a continuous and a compulsory activity for every country, however, it’s different in Nigeria whereby most people don’t care and they take it as a minor thing.
