These troops are led by Col Mamady Doumbouya. They ousted 83-year-old Guinean President Alpha Condé, last week. The coup in Guinea is the forth in just a a period of one year.
However, according to Gen. Muhoozi, this would be nothing to the UPDF if the president let’s them take care of it. He said this on twitter on Tuesday.
“If our Commander in-Chief gave us instructions, it wouldn’t take UPDF a day to discipline mutinous troops like the ones in Guinea-Conakry,” Lt Gen Muhoozi said.

This comes just a week after Museveni called this coups low value in an interview with France 24.
“That’s unfortunate and it is a step backwards. Those military coups are of low value, we had them in the 1960s, and they were part of Africa’s problems. I condemn the coup, I don’t accept the idea of coups, they are not a solution.”
However, for some Ugandans who reacted to Muhoozi’s post, Uganda has enough problems which UPDF could as well handle.
“Let’s deal with Karamoja and ADF first. We have enough problems. The commander in chief in most recent interview with a French TV said he doesn’t believe in fighting other pipoz wars hence in support of America’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan. We r in Somalia for peace,” a one Nsereko wrote.
