Mama Fina Angry With Ugandans For Not Minding Their Business

Mama Fina Is Done Helping People

Businesswoman and traditional herbalist Sylvia Namutebi also known as Mama Fina, fame for her illustrious philanthropy has thrown in the towel. The herbalist announced that this week, she will offer no more support to the needy.

Mama Fina says her days of supporting people in need are over. She says she has suffered abuse and got disappointed by most of her beneficiaries

“Don’t cry to me anymore. Don’t call my phone. I have helped people for 28 years and gotten nothing out of it,” she said in a YouTube interview on Monday.

“I do not want to see anyone coming to my home in Bulenga; I only want patients there. Those of you call me and give me names like, “mother of the nation” “Mama Africa” and “angel, I am done with all of you. Let another Mama Fina come and take my place.”

The herbalist is a wealthy businesswoman and head of traditional healers in Uganda. She is most known, however, for her big heart.

The 44-year-old is often the go-to for people in urgent need of expensive medical attention. Even those suffering domestic abuse, victims of natural disasters, and even school children in need of fees.

Currently, she’s sponsoring the education of dozens of young boys and girls in primary and secondary schools as well as higher institutions of learning. However, starting next year, she says, she will not not be paying fees for any more learners.

Those who are completing your studies this term, good for you. But the rest of you, next year I am sending you back to your parents,” she said

Mama Fina says she has had several terrible experiences with people who came to her for help. She gave the example of a young man named Kabugo, whom she picked from Kalangala and started paying for his secondary education.

When he failed S.4, she decided to send him to her friend’s vocational institute which is training over 300 youths in baking and other arts.

First, he did not want to go; but when he got there, he started insulting the other kids, calling them poor. He became a very big problem,” she narrated.

Eventually he demanded that I continue paying for his formal education. Even when I suggested that he take up a different course. That is when he stood up and asked me if I was the only person paying the fees of all people in the world.”

“He said if I did not want to pay for him, he would find his own way. So I let him him. Right now he is back on TikTok begging people to help him because he even married a woman and he’s really struggling.”
