Man Arrested For Raping His 60 Year Old Mother

On Friday evening, Police in Kericho County, Kenya arrested a man, aged 36 for allegedly raping his sixty year old mum.

This evil man was arrested and detained at Chepseon Police Station after committing an offence on Thursday night.

According to neighbours, he physically attacked his mum and threatened to cut her with a panga before he raped her.

The assistant Chief of the area Mr Korir Stephen confirmed the arrest of the accused who’s alleged to have been drunk at the time he committed the crime.

Some witnesses said the suspect reached at his mum’s home at night and commanded her to quickly wake up before assaulting her sexually.

In the process of the attack, she tried to resist, but the man kept on beating her as he threatened to cut her in pieces,’said assistant Chief.

The father to the suspect had traveled somewhere at the time his wife was assaulted.

The elderly woman reported the matter to one of her neighbours moments after this evil man had left her house.

She was advised to report the matter to the area assistant Chief, who later mobilized members of Nyumba Kumi and other Villagers to search for him.

We found the accused at one of the drinking places in the Village and we handed him over to the Police,’Mr Stephen said.

The suspect will be brought to court on Monday to face rape and assault charges.

Drunkenness and alcohol abuse are the major cause of evil acts such as defilement, rape and domestic violence against children and women.
