Man Kills 6 Year Old Daughter Over Witchcraft

A man in Zombo District is behind bars for allegedly murdering his 6-year-old daughter and burying her head under his bed.

The suspect, 37, who is a residence of Oyumbi Village was arrested for killing his 6-year-old daughter whom he said she was practicing witchcraft and disorganizing the peace in his home.

The Village Local Council one Chairman Mr Odaga Rachid said the man first defiled his daughter 7 times on Sunday before ending her life the following day.

The incident attracted public attention as soon as the elder daughter to the man found the body of her little sister in the pit latrine and called for help from neighbours.

According to Mr Richard, the suspect was about to escape until we increased search and finally arrested him a few kilometers away from his home.
