I remember opening an account on Facebook in 2006, but I did not even upload any of my pictures there, I never sent out friend requests, I failed to use it, so all over a sudden I just left it and never even visited it for quite some time, after 4 years later, I got some German friends who used to tell me to sign up on Facebook so that we can talk over there, so I was compelled to re-sign in to get my account updated, and since then am one of the active members on Facebook.

Today Facebook is the largest social network giant on the internet, 11 years ago a young Mark Zuckerberg appeared on TV for the first time to explain and promote his new social network, Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg never  expected a huge popularity!

Let me tell you, Zuckerberg did not expect how big his social network would be, on his first TV interview in 2004, he said when they launched Facebook, they were hoping for 400 to 500 members, but now there are 100,000 registered members. Zuckerberg was only focusing on university students, he never gave a hint that Facebook could become so popular with over one billion users.

Dear readers, Mark Zuckerberg faced very many challenges by the time he was still building and improving his social network platform, but he never gave up,  many of his fellow students despised him a lot thinking that he was just joking around and just of recent, he said by the time facebook begun growing, many people wanted to buy it, he did not look at that, he was focused.

Today as of 2015, Facebook has got subsidiaries such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Oculus VR and PrivateCore, the company has the total assets of US$40.184 billion and 10,082 employees, according to Wikipedia.
