Mathias Walukagga Reveals How He Felt After Kabaka Inviting Him To The Palace

Kadongo kamu singer and politician Mathias Walukagga has revealed how he felt after the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Mwenda Mutebi invited him to the palace. This happened in 2018 but Walukagga said he remembers it very well as if it was just yesterday when he got the invite.

Whenever Kabaka is celebrating something like a birthday, he usually invited an artiste of his choice to come and perform. This year, the chosen musician was Pallaso and he also talked about his excitement upon receiving an invite.

It is always an honor to perform for the Kabaka in the palace because most musicians are never invited. The few that have got such honor are Mesach Semakula, Walukagga, Pallaso and a few others.

According to Mathias Walukagga, he will never forget the day he was invited. He said it was even hard for him to believe that performing for the Kabaka was real.

Walukagga said he was sweating and over excited, the day of the performance he didn’t sleep. He was thinking of how it is going to be and lucky enough, everything went well.

The singer called upon all musicians to be humble maybe one day they will get the invitation like he did.

“The day Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi 11 invited me to the palace is one I’ll never forget. It feels like yesterday because I remember everything that happened on that day. I remember I didn’t even sleep,” – he said.
