MC Kats – Chameleone Was Saved From Depression By His Brothers

TV host Edwin Katamba, popularly known as Mc Kats has come out to reveal how Uganda’s music icon Jose Chameleon was at one time saved from depression by his brothers, Pallaso and Weasel.

Depression is a major problem in the music industry and even in the general population.

This is caused by different factors and worse of all some people resort to the usage of drugs which worsens it.

While speaking on NBS After 5 program, Kats said that hadn’t it been for Chameleone’s brothers, the worst could have happened.

He added that it’s always good someone surrounds himself with positive people and those who understand him/her in times of depression.

“There was a time when Chameleone was going through depression but his quickest solution was Weasel and Pallaso. It helps to hang out with your dear ones when going through such hard times.” Kats said.

They were joined in studio by the legendary Halima Namakula who also talked about depression among people.

She said that many people go through depression because of different reasons but it’s worse when it comes to musicians.

“Some people go into depression because they lack something. And for us (the celebrities), it’s worse because we have to keep a happy face in the public.” Namakula said.

The “Kimbewo” singer also talked about the upcoming scientific concerts that are going to start this weekend.

She said that the major aim of these concerts dubbed the UGConnect Concert is to connect all musicians in Uganda.

Namakula said that they might not be able to connect all musicians but they will try to make sure that they reach at least almost everyone.

The first concert will kick off on Saturday 17th July 2021 from 4pm-7pm and will air on NBS TV.

Some of the artists slated to perform include David Lutalo, Winnie Nwagi, Spice Diana, Azawi among others.
