Other musicians would join along the way. These singers saw massive success along the way both as a group and individuals.
Later, they disintegrated and also rebranded, a thing that didn’t turn out successful. Haruna formed Kream production and Geoffrey Lutaaya formed Da Nu Eagles. The remaining members rebranded to Golden Band but it has never been as lethal as Eagles Production.
While appearing on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya with Faridah Nakazibwe, the Kankutendereze singer said that with time, group work became so draining. Slowly by slowly, it became clear that the group thing was not destined to work.
“With time, being in a music group became draining and too much work. For example, Maureen now has children, and the same amount of money we paid her long ago is not enough due to the increased demands. In the long run, it became clear enough that the group thing wasn’t working out,” said the musician.
In pursuit of his passion and dreams, the singer revealed that he was chased away from home. This is because his father believed that music was for ‘bayaye‘(goons).
The singer also recounted one of the most overwhelming incidents in his career. This was while he was ordained a ‘Sir’ by the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
Apparently, the singer doesn’t recount most of the incidents. This is because he was overcome with joy as he didn’t expect it since he had been invited just perform.
