According to Mukula, President Museveni has been directly involved in promoting the welfare of the music industry. This is something that governments in the neighboring countries haven’t done.
Besides, the businessman and pilot said that as the patron of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), he’s glad that musicians are uniting.
He went ahead to point out the likes of Alien Skin who he hailed as a result of President Museveni’s hard work. Mukula said that the singer rose from the ghetto as a nobody.
Now he’s very rich parking different vehicles in his yard. This shows how the entertainment industry is massive in the country.
“When you look at the entertainment industry, we have the likes of Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine and also Alien Skin. You look at someone like Alien Skin who was a mechanic from Kiboga but now he has many cars parking in his yard. That’s where I want to thank President Museveni for promoting the music industry. If you look at other governments neighboring us, they don’t do that,” he said.
Additionally, he said that the government is going to equip musicians in terms of studio machinery. This will help to push them to the next level.
Meanwhile, some social media users said that the reason governments of other countries don’t spoon feed Musicians is because of well streamlined industries. The laws especially the copyright are fully functional.
