Miss Curvy Uganda management has promised their fans that the contest is returning before the year 2022 ends. Like any other beauty contest, Miss Curvy started in Uganda in 2019 with the help of the then State Minister of Tourism, Hon Kiwanda Ssuubi.
They started it to apparently help improve and boost Uganda’s tourism industry. This was by flaunting the beauty and culture of Ugandan people so that foreigners can be interested. Also, they were apparently showcasing the beauty of plus-size women.
In the first contest, Belinda Nansasi won the crown but not a lot of work was seen from her in terms of promoting Uganda’s tourism industry.
However, this could be because Covid-19 hit the world, and a lockdown was put on almost everything.
Apparently, Miss Curvy management has revealed that they are ready to return and organize everything. They plan to do it like they did in 2019 when they were starting officially.
“Yes, we were affected by some signs of COVID-19 at the camp, but we are coming back bigger and better.” they said.
It should be noted that many countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa and others will also represent during the contest and crowning of Miss Curvy 2022.
The names of the judges haven’t been revealed yet. However, Masaka city tycoon Lwasa Emmanuel had requested to be put on the list of judges. This is apparently because he knows more about curvy girls.
