Money Doesn’t Grow In My Father’s Compound – Sheilah Gashumba

Socialite and media personality, Sheilah Gashumba has addressed critics who call her a ‘planned kid’. She told them that she works hard for her own money since it doesn’t grow in her father’s compound.

“Planned kid” has become a common term on social media to refer to kids who are born in rich families. And according to those who connoted the word, these kids know nothing as they are spoon-fed everything.

During a heated argument on social media about finances, one user told the NRG FM presenter to keep quiet. This is because she has no idea about working hard.

In response, Sheila said that with such a mentality, most youths will remain broke. She then gave an insight into her lifestyle, especially about how she works hard. According to Sheilah, youths should stop being lazy.

Apparently, she sleeps for only 5 hours a day. Has 5 Sources of income. And therefore, fellow youths should wake up from their slumber world to work really hard.

“That mentally right there will keep you really broke!! Stop making excuses for being lazy. Money doesn’t grow in my father’s compound my dear!! For your info, I only have 5 hours of sleep. I work both day and night with 5 streams of income. Wake up from ur slumber world,” she said.

Sheilah is definitely one of the most hard-working young female Ugandans. Apparently, she’s been working from a very tender age from her days at the now defunct WBS TV to NTV then NBS and now NRG FM.

Meanwhile, she’s also into the fashion business as she owns a fashion store known as Gash Luxe. On top of that, she’s one of the most followed social media influencers and has quite a number of brand endorsements.

The daughter to popular political and social commentator, Frank Gashumba is also in the music business. She manages her boyfriend, Rickman and is also the PR of several musicians in Africa especially those from Nigeria.
