Over 1.5M Students Fail To Complete Senior Four

Over 1.5 million students who would have sat for Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams 2018 were not considered, according to study conducted by Ministry of Education and Sports.

The  statistical report compiled by Ministry of Education and Sports which followed the progress of students who registered for P.1 in 2018, indicate that the total number of school children who were unconsidered increased as students were promoted from one level to another.

The data was conducted by UBOS

In 2008, the group of 1,897,114 children registered for primary school education, a total number of only 330,721 pupils managed to complete their O’Level school education and sat their UCE exams. The total number of about 1,561,679 children were unconsidered, according to daily Monitor.
