While appearing on the NBS After 5, Sheilah said that Mudra’s music stands out so much. His presence is felt via his music than his brand. This came as the program’s presenters wondered where artistes who emerged in the lockdown are now.
Sheilah said that those artists who emerged in the two year lockdown are now doing comedy on TikTok. Her co-presenter DJ Mercy then mentioned Mudra as one of those that emerged in this period.
Sheilah went ahead to say that whereas Mudra is still releasing hits, these are bigger than him.
“I have one problem with Mudra and it’s his music being bigger than his name. He has to really market himself and get his foot on the pedal firmly. The other artists who emerged in lockdown are now doing comedy on TikTok,” she said.
And truly after the reopening of concerts and the whole country, the staple artists regained their places.
The likes of David Lutalo, B2C, Winnie Nwagi, Juliana Kanyomozi who were not so active in the stale two years are now having sold out concerts. After two years, the COVID-19 artists are no where to be seen as their stars waned.
The socialite also applauded the competition that has emerged in the music industry especially among male artists. She thinks this is good for the industry.
