This has been the first time in Nigeria’s history that there’s been a peaceful, democratic handover of power and Nigerian people are just thankful to Goodluck because he accepted the defeat and he will remain a hero for this move, “A spokesman for Gen Buhari ( All progressive Congress ) said”.[2]

The supporters of Gen Muhammadu Buhari went all over the streets including those in the northern cities of Kano and Kaduna while singing and dancing as a way of celebrating their man.

Way back in Jan 1984,[8] major General Muhammadu Buhari overthrew Nigeria’s first democratic government and he stayed in power for almost two years, in 1985, he was overthrown in a coup,[4] it was about 20 months after his own takeover, he ended up being detained until 1988.

General Muhammadu Buhari has failed as a presidential candidate three times,[3] and because of his persistence and determination Buhari has finally taken the victory and he is now the newly elected president of Nigeria. Many people in this world cannot be able to persist, 98% give up easily, but Muhammadu is a real man.[1]

I cannot change the past, but I can change the present and the future,” Muhammadu said this statement during his speech in London last year.[2]
