Muhammadu Buhari sworn in as a Nigerian President

Muhammadu Buhari is now a Nigeria’s new president after he  was sworn in this  Friday,[9] he has become the first opposition contestant to win a presidential election in Nigeria’s recent history.[1]

The inauguration ceremony was held in Abuja at the place called Eagle square, a number of African heads of states attended the ceremony aswell the US secretary of state John Kerry.[5]

Muhammadu Buhari, 72,  defeated Goodluck Jonathan in the recent presidential elections by 15.4 million votes to 12.9 million an,[8] Buhari thanked Goodluck Jonathan for displaying the statesmanship and showing a good picture to accept defeat.[3] He also appreciated the Nigerians for the peaceful elections that took place on 28th march.

The newly elected president highlighted several issues such as Nigeria’s economy crisis,[4] Insurgency from the tyrant Boko Haram militants, to get rid-of corruption etc, he promised to find a better solution to all the above problem that Nigeria is facing right now.[1]

Buhari says, Goodluck is a hero!

Nigerians think that their newly elected president, Muhammadu will be a solution maker of their problems today,[5] and since he’s a millitary man,[1] he will manage to fight off the Boko-Haram who have become so dengerous to the people of Nigeria and the neighbouring countries such as Niger and Cameroon who have also tried to join with Nigeria to combat them.[3]

Goodluck Jonathan has really showed a very good example to other African leaders, i wish they also do the same to accept defeat at the end of presidential elections,[1] once they step in power, they want to rule until they die.[2]
