During his speech in 2018 Global Peace Conference in Munyoyo at the Speak Resort Hotel on Thursday, the Ugandan president pointed out a few ways in which the West has tried to impose it’s cultures to the local people and many have resulted into conflicts.
For instance Europeans have imposed homosexuality to the local people and they expect us to support it,’’said Museveni.
It’s good to give respect to everyone’s identity rather than imposing your identity on other people.
Museveni continued and said many years a go in 1880s, the West inflicted lots of things on African people such as convincing them to agree in fighting each other ( religious wars ), according to Nile Post.
President Museveni gave many examples including the Democratic Republic of Congo and Iran where the West planned to either kill or overthrow the elected president and Prime Minister Lumumba Patrice and Mossadegh Muhammed because they didn’t like those leaders.
