Museveni Deserves To Be Censored Instead Of His MPs – Mubarak Munyagwa

Former Kawempe South MP, Hon Mubarak Munyagwa has said that President Museveni deserves to be censored instead of his Ministers.

The politician highlighted how the President warned the IGG, Beti Kamya against initiating the lifestyle audit.

It should be recalled that Kamya a while ago proposed an audit into the lifestyle of civil servants. This was to see if their means of living comply with the salaries they earn.

Museveni stopped her arguing that this will instead make them start to take the money outside Uganda. Apparently, if they invest it here, it helps in growing the economy despite being corrupt.

According to Munyagwa, Museveni seems to be aware of the corruption amongst his ministers. Therefore, he should be the one to be censored instead of these ministers because he shields them.

“Hon. Beti Kamya wanted to propose a lifestyle audit, but President Museveni warned her against it. He seems to be aware of the corrupt individuals in his administration. They should censure him instead of his ministers.”

The ex-MP added that the current regime is built on corruption. In fact if the Bible was written before this regime, Munyagwa believes there would have been a book chronicling it’s thuggery.

“If the NRM party existed before the Bible was written, there would be a book dedicated to chronicling their thievery. The country is governed by gazetted thieves who engage in large-scale stealing.”

This comes at the back of the iron sheets scandal meant for Karamoja in the Office of the Prime Minister.

Top government officials apparently swindled and diverted off-course these iron sheets. Among these officials who took the iron sheets is former Parliament speaker, Hon Rebecca Kadaga.

Despite saying that she used them to roof a health center and school which were destroyed by a hail storm, Kadaga has been heavily criticized.
