More Ugandans today (40%) die because of Non-Communicable Diseases, which are diseases of the rich, but it is still of great concern that 7% of the deaths are still as a result of malaria.
Government is working hard to kick malaria off the list of death traps using a multi-faceted approach of applying biological agents to kill the larvae, distribution of mosquito nets and manufacturing a special anti-mosquito paint.
In doing this, government will use available resources, work with partners but also stay alive to environmental concerns.
I thank the legislators for committing to support the cause of ending malaria.
