Museveni Shares Contacts In Case Security Officers Harass You During Lockdown And Curfew

President Museveni yesterday evening at 8pm addressed the nation for the 7th time and gave a few highlights and clarifications regarding the preventive measures for the new deadly virus (coronavirus) which has put the whole world on tension.

I think I was misunderstood when I said people should stay home. I did not mean you should be confined indoors. You are allowed to enjoy your compound if it’s hot or even go to the latrine outside. Besides most of our homes don’t have toilets inside,’he said.

So the clarification is: Staying home does not mean we are confining you indoors, you can move within your home demarcation as much as you please, simply do not go past your home into the neighbourhood or the trading center, especially during night curfew.

People are talking about convenience, this is war. It is not about convenience anymore, it is survival. A big struggle is upon us, lives will change, some sectors will definitely get a setback, but this is doable and we shall defeat COVID-19.

Last night, president Museveni announced that the public can report erring security officers/law enforcers to Lt Col Edith Nakalema, the head of State House Anti-corruption Unit, especially those unnecessarily harassing our people during this lockdown and curfew.
