Muhoozi Kainerugaba Didn’t Deserve His New Rank After What He Did In The Kony War

Butambala member of Parliament Hon Muwanga Kivumbi has claimed that the first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba didn’t deserve the rank of General that was bestowed upon him from the rank of Lieutenant-General.

A few days ago, Museveni promoted his son to a full four-star General. The ceremony to officially give him this rank happened this week at Bombo Military Grounds.

However, according to Hon Kivumbi, Muhoozi didn’t deserve the rank. This is because he was sent to hunt for Kony a number of years ago. And the only thing he came back with was Kony’s jacket.

“Muhoozi is the first General of his generation, without doing an honorable thing. The only thing he did was when he went to look for Kony and only came with his jacket.”

Furthermore, Muwanga said that Muhoozi’s existence in the army is unclear. This is because the then army Commander Col. Gregory Mugisha Muntu said that he never recruited him.

According to Kivumbi, Muhoozi is now gearing up to take on the presidency from his father. It’s therefore no longer about life presidency but rather a monarchy. The MP proceeded to say that one of the biggest problems of Uganda is the peaceful transfer of power.

“We once warned people 20 years back that we would have a life presidency. Now we are past that. We are moving into life monarchy. One of the challenges we have in this country is the peaceful transfer of power.”

Muwanga also added that the only way Muhoozi can become Uganda’s president is only if he seizes power. However, if he participates in an election, he can never win any.
