He even solicited help from his friends and social media followers which they gladly offered. NUP leader, Bobi Wine even came out and offered to help him overcome this problem.
He started talking about his progress and it was during this time frame that he lost his father. Now he has revealed that this death hit him so hard that he was forced into boozing again.
The comedian said that it’s always a pleasant when one is used as an example of quitting alcohol. However, his no-drinking streak was ended by his father’s death.
Additionally, he said that this is not an excuse but he found some healing when he downed the bottle.
Salvado further said that he’s now prepared to give it another try and have himself a try of 10 days off alcohol. He even gave his followers the right to photograph him and Shane him publicly if they find him boozing.
Read his statement below;
“It’s good to be used as a reference when people are talking about quitting alcohol or taking a break from it. Unfortunately, my good streak was broken by my Old man’s passing. (Not and excuse) but I found some healing when I drank. It’s not been easy as I’ve been on and off track for a couple of weeks. But I want to gladly say, I can do this … If I could do it before, I Can do it again … See you in 10 sober days … If you find me drinking from today .. take a picture and shame me publicly.
But yeah I miss my Old man .. always had a joke with him.”
Apparently, this is the story of most people who are addicted to different things. They always relapse after making considerable progress in their rehabilitation journey. But well it’s a process of falling down and rising again.
