Ex-Minister Nakiwala Kiyingi And Husband Renew Marriage Vows Following 25th Anniversary

The ex-Minister for child affairs Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, yesterday celebrated her 25th marriage anniversary with her husband, Deogratius Kiyingi.

The couple renewed their vows at Rubaga Cathedral and all looked lovey-dovey. Mr. Kiyingi while speaking about these years said it was a great achievement.

This is because women like his that stick around for quite long are hard to find these days. Further, Kiyingi said that women need to be constantly looked after so that they remain looking good.

“These 25 years that we have spent in holy matrimony is quite a big thing because many women these days don’t last long. We are therefore grateful to God and Holy Mary for seeing us through. Besides, you need to keep refurbishing your woman so that she continues to look good,” said Kiyingi.

His wife on the other hand, Hon. Nakiwala who wore a big smile on her face couldn’t hide her excitement. The smile kept on beaming like it was her first time going to walk down the aisle.

“I have today just made the legal 18 years plus also 25 years in a holy marriage. I’m so happy and grateful to mother Mary for such a great achievement,” the ex-Minister said.

The couple got married in 1997 and share 5 children together, 3 boys and 2 girls. The couple is one of the prominent families in Ugandan politics.

Nakiwala is currently the 3rd FUFA vice president and also a senior presidential advisor on gender and youth affairs. She’s also served in many different political capacities both in the opposition and ruling government.

With a status such as his, one would expect him to have a very well known and decorated family in the public eye. However, this is not the case as hardly anything is known about him, his beau and probably children.
