She had several hit songs to her name such as Sexy, Kawonawo, Anfukula among others. However, she later took a break off social media and only returned a born again woman.
Speaking to the media, she said that she prays from Pastor Tom Mugerwa’s Mutundwe Christian Fellowship centre. On top of that, she now does only gospel music. S
he further states that no amount of money can ever make her return to singing secular music that doesn’t honor God. Even if she’s given a lot of money to perform her old songs, she can’t do it because she’s a changed woman.
Read her statement below;
“I’m now a woman serving the Almighty God. I don’t miss singing in bars and clubs because I’m in a better place. If anyone offered me lots of money to perform my old songs, I don’t think I can accept it. I no longer accept money from sin. Besides, my God provides abundantly for me,” she said.
Additionally, the singer said that at times she listens to her old music and wonders what had gotten to her or what she was singing. However, she doesn’t regret being there because it’s a path God decided to use to put her where she is now.
Additionally, if a secular musician offered to work with her, she wouldn’t accept if the song is not about Jesus. Furthermore, Nakimera was asked what she would do if her child chose such a career path.
The singer said that she can’t dictate what her child has to do. All she can do is offer the necessary guidance and the rest is to them.
