There Is Nothing The Federation Can Do To Help Bobi Wine – Eddy Kenzo

Singer Eddy Kenzo who is also the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) has said that there is nothing his organization can do to help singer-turned-politician Bobi Wine get back on stage.

It should be noted that the Firebase boss’ music career hit a snag in UGANDA. This is after the government banned him from performing within Uganda commercially.

This unjustified ban has gone on for nearly 5 years now. Although he is no longer so musically active, his supporters would surely love to see him perform once in a while.

Most of his performances nowadays are outside Uganda with the most recent being London. On several occasions, some people have always asked what Kenzo’s federation has done to see that this ban is lifted.

The Big Talent boss however said that this is something beyond his power. Bobi Wine is locked in a war with the government and wants to unseat it. Therefore, there is no way the government is going to give him full rights which he will then use against it.

Additionally, the Semyekozo singer said that this is a game beyond his reach. Besides, he would want to participate in such issues because he’s not a politician.

“Bobi Wine’s issues are beyond the Federation’s control. Imagine he wants to uproot the current entire government and then have his NUP government into [power. Why do you think they would grant him all those rights which then he would use against it. We, therefore, can’t help it. Besides I fight only for musicians and not politicians because I’m not one,” said the singer.

Many have said that Kenzo would never front Bobi Wine’s issues even if he could. This is after the two fell out bitterly in 2020 and Kenzo has been a Museveni guy since then.
