NUP Is Just A Terrorist Group – Anderson Burora

Herbert Anderson Burora, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner Rubaga, has come out to say that the National Unity Platform (NUP) is not a political party but rather a terrorist group.

According to Burora, NUP is illegal. To back his argument, he said that the party has no constitution with both URSB and the Electoral Commission.

He further cautioned political parties to stop working in secrecy. According to Burora, whatever NUP has been doing secretly will come to light.

“NUP is an illegal political party and is more like a terrorist group. Check with the URSB or Electoral Commission and see if NUP has a constitution. NUP has nothing legitimate going on. These political parties should stop operating in secret. Sooner or later, we will find out what NUP has been doing behind closed doors,” said Anderson Burora .

He further said that Ugandans tend to be emotional especially when told things like this.

He pointed out how author Kakwenza Rukirabashaija escaped to Germany without a passport.

This is highly impossible and therefore Ugandans should start reasoning a bit better.

His opinion seemed to be supported by former Kawempe South MP Hon Mubarak Munyagwa. The ex MP said that the Kamwokya-based party is not organized which makes it informal.

This therefore makes it hard for them to counter the challenges posed towards them by the regime.

Munyagwa added that one can’t distinguish between NUP and Firebase.

“NUP is not organized. They are not structured enough to handle the challenges they are facing, and more challenges are to come. They need to formalize their party. You can’t distinguish @NUP_Ug from Firebase.”

Munyagwa further advised NUP to be intentional because they are dealing with Museveni, a revolutionary.
