Nyege Nyege organizers have apologized to their customers for the short comings at the event. According to them, accommodation was the most raised issue but they have also thrown the blame to a service provider. Apparently, the state of tents was only discovered on the event day.
“We apologizes for any short comings in regards to on-site accommodation at the festival. We genuinely regret any inconveniences caused and we will make sure we improve future editions.”
“It is unfortunate that the service provider called Afro Avenue who was contracted for on-site luxury accommodation did not deliver as promised. They also sold illegitimate camping accommodation through his company that we found out on the day of the festival. These actions greatly disappointed the festival and our esteemed clients,” they added.
A civil action is being planned against the company that worked on the accommodation. However, some of the festival customers were on a different page.
Apparently, they want the VIP section to be removed so that they can access all areas of the site without limit. Plus most people apparently had issues with the shower system that they say should be better next time.
This festival is a four day event where people go to apparently have fun. It attracts people from different nations and this why some people were suggesting government should take it up and own it.
