Kenya’s deputy president, William Ruto’s pilot, Captain Magonga Mario has died in an Helicopter crash in Turkana island.

According to police, Captain Mario died with all the 4 American citizens he was carrying after their Helicopter crashed in Central Island National Park at around 8pm.
In the statement, the National Police Service said that two choppers had already landed at Lobolo camp, however one was able to safely clear the area.
The security operatives who managed to reach the scene, however confirmed that five people were on board, Mario Magonga, the pilot and the four American citizens.
The security team has been deployed to the scene to help recover the wreckage and the bodies of the deceased, ‘said police.
The cause of the accident is not yet known and the particulars of the dead will be published as soon as the families and relatives are informed.
