Police Arrests Suspects That Severely Beat Up Young Woman Over A Man

Unverified reports indicate that Police has arrested the suspects that were seen in a video severely beating up a young woman and humiliating her for allegedly sleeping with one of their boyfriends.

This came after the videos were released on TikTok and immediately went viral.

Due to the severity of the beating of this young lady who was later identified as Nicole Pretty, different people especially Ugandan celebrities started sharing the videos and calling out the police to give her justice.

With the pressure mounting from social media, police had to also act immediately as they issued a statement on Twitter.

According to Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, Kawempe Police Division in touch with the victims. Police said they would keep all Ugandans informed of the progress in the case.

However, retired AIGP, Asan Kasingye, through his Twitter account, confirmed that police has arrested the perpetrators.

“Kawempe Police Division is in touch with the victim and suspects have been identified pending arrest. The incident however took place in one of the rentals in Kira Municipality. We shall inform you of the progress on file. Police condemn all acts of torture,” Luke Owoyesigyire said in an earlier statement.

It is said that this young lady, Pretty Nicole, was allegedly sleeping around with the friend’s boyfriend. She was tricked into coming to the home of her friends and on reaching, she was beaten severely.

In the videos making rounds on social media, Pretty Nicole was undressed by friends, poured water on and beaten seriously. The friends were telling her to tame her behavior and live to the standards of trust.
