Police In Search For Son Who Stabbed His Father To Death

Police in Kawempe Division, Kampala have arrested a woman and launched a search for her son. This is in connection with the brutal killing of the woman’s husband during a domestic fight.

The deputy Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire said the killing of Muhammed Nsubuga has been treated as a murder case. He said they recorded it as SD 40/23/11/202 Kawanda police station and Kawempe CRB 1514/2021.

It has been alleged that Abdallakim Nsubuga, a son to the deceased, stabbed his father and is still on the run. According to the police, the incident happened on Tuesday night at around 9:00 pm when Muhammed returned home and joined his family.

The explanation from police indicated that Nsubuga had earlier on left home with some clothes. When his wife, Fatuma Nakalema realized this, she immediately suspected her husband to be going out to his second wife.

At the said time, an exchange of words broke out and later resulted in a fight which the son also joined to save his mother.

During the struggle, the son cut the deceased in the neck during the struggle causing a deep wound.

In a turn of events, Nsubuga managed to walk up to Vicks clinic where upon his arrival, fell down and died. The police later visited this scene to conduct further investigations.

They later arrested Nakalema to help them as they launched a hunt for the son. In addition to that, authorities picked up the body of the deceased and took it to KCCA mortuary for postmortem.

When detectives asked residents in the area, they said the couple has always had longstanding domestic disputes. The matter had even been reported to the Kawanda and Kawempe police stations in the past.

Adding that the deceased used to beat his wife in the presence of their children and sometimes stripping her naked.
