President Museveni has come out to call on Ugandans to be vigilant after a bomb blast over the weekend that claimed one person’s life at a pub in Komamboga a Kampala suburb.
Museveni had earlier condemned the act by the ‘pigs’ as he loves to call murderers. He also added that although the revelers were breaking the COVID-19 SOPs, they can’t tolerate the criminality.
“As I said earlier, I condemn the action of the “parasite pigs” that planted a bomb at Digida Pork Point where they sell pork, sodas & alcohol. Although these people were breaking curfew hours & using the place as a bar, still the criminality of the perpetrators must be condemned,” Mr Museveni said.
Gen Museveni went ahead to warn the perpetrators of these heinous crimes that they will bring them to book. He further said that there are those who are working from abroad to destabilize the country.
Museveni said that they will deal with them and asked their supporters not to make noise when they arrest them.
“With those operating outside Uganda, we shall work with the brother African countries, to go for them. Let their supporters, then, not start shouting that we are hunting innocent people,” Mr Museveni further said.
He proceeded to call upon the public to be vigilant and report anything suspicious. The government has made this call numerous times to the public.
“All we ask from the public is vigilance and prompt reporting to the nearest police post of anything suspicious,” Mr Museveni signed out.
Meanwhile, American newspaper agency Reuters has reported that the Islamic militant group ISIS claimed responsibility for this bomb blast. However, Police denies this saying that it’s is an internal matter.
