Museveni To Run For 6th Term In 2021, Says He’s Still Very Able

Uganda’s president, HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 74, finally accepted proposal to run for the 6th term in 2021, he says he’s still very able to rule even beyond.

He spoke during the National Resistance Movement (NRM) caucus where he met the lawmakers and party leaders who endorsed him to continue his leadership because he still has the support.

The NRM MPs in Kyankwanzi District agreed to endorse the Chobe resolution by NRM’s central executive committee (CEC) to allow president Museveni to continue as the head of State.

The president appreciated the lawmakers for having confidence in him, adding that since he’s still capable and he happens to be the most knowledgeable with this journey, i therefore agree to continue serving Ugandan people,’’he says.

This excited the legislators who nominated him and responded with thunderous applause.
