President Museveni will tomorrow, Tuesday 15th address the nation on the current state of Ebola in the country. So far 54 People have succumbed to this virus while over 130 people have been infected. The government since the outbreak of this virus has been cautioning people to be very vigilant because Ebola is actually real and it is in the country.
So far, Mubende and Kasanda have been the most affected districts and as we speak they are under lockdown. For this cause, the president is back again on the same matter to give a way forward for the country in regard to fighting this virus. This is going to be the third time for him to talk about this virus since it broke out.
The president had earlier promised that there will not be any country-wide lockdown because of Ebola. However, with the way things appear, nothing is certain. The fact that Ebola has cropped into schools has made it even more complicated. As it is, Ministry Of Health has already directed schools to close earlier than their scheduled closing date.
The public obviously is very expectant and somewhat anxious to hear from the President. From a number of people, lockdown is the last thing they want to go through right now. Given the fact that, the country is just recovering from the COVID lockdown, it would be unfortunate to tread the same path.
