Private Cars Allowed To Move From 26th May – Museveni

President Museveni had another address tonight where he clarified on the easing of the lockdown. He clarified that private cars will be allowed to move with effect from 26th May.

However, he confirmed that the movement of private cars will apply in 95 districts out of 135 in the country.

“We said when public transport resumes certain border districts will not be allowed for now (21 days) because people can easily come from neighbouring countries, use these systems and come to Kampala. Those are 40 border districts,’ said Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

“We said bars, night clubs, sauna, gyms, swimming pools, salons etc, cannot open for now because there is no way to keep social distance. Night clubs are the opposite of social distance. I showed you how to keep fit at home, that is a gym which does not close,’he said.

“We said that proper transport like buses and taxis would resume after proper preparations. And they would carry half the load,’he added.
