Public Expresses Concern Over Relationship Between Speaker Among And Mathias Mpuuga

The relationship between Speaker Among and Leader of opposition, Mathias Mpuuga, has caused a lot of people to question what is really going on.

This relationship has led many to think Mpuuga may actually be considering changing his mind about being in opposition. According to many people, these two are really close. In fact, when Among apparently got threats on her life, she first informed the Mpuuga.

“I have got a report and I have only shared this with the Leader of Opposition and now I can officially tell you [MPs] I have got [a] report [of a plot] to assassinate me,” she said, adding, “…my car is still followed up to now,” Among said during one of the parliamentary sessions.

Hon. Francis Zaake too confirmed this relationship to some people saying it’s surely discomforting. Actually, according to some sources, even the hug Among and Zaake shared was initiated by Mathias Mpuuga.

The time the two, Among and Zaake shared a hug, they were not on good terms. This was because Zaake had apparently disrespected the speaker during a plenary session. However, during the speakership by-elections, Zaake and Among made up.

Apparently, it was still Mpuuga who convinced Zaake to invite Among to his wedding on Friday but she couldn’t make it. Leader of opposition, Mpuuga has been really off the platforms of opposition and has not been so involved with his counterparts.

This has pushed many to start drawing conclusions about his stand in politics.
