Raila Odinga Lost Even After Support From The State – Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi

Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi has said Raila Odinga’s loss should be a lesson to many politicians. He says no one expected him to lose even after the support he had from the state.

It was so clear from the very beginning that the current president and most of the state members were in support of Raila Odinga. It was almost obvious that he would just go through without hardships. However, Kivumbi says this time Raila lost terribly.

“This time round Raila Odinga lost terribly. He went into the election with everything he needed and the deep state support but still lost.”

Kivumbi says now that Africa is highly populated by young people, if an election is not rigged, people will be shocked.

“Africa has the highest number of young people. If an election is not rigged and the army is not involved, the young people will decide who wins. There is a social movement in Africa, the people who feel like they haven’t benefited from the government use any chance to vote against the people in power.”

Meanwhile, Raila Odinga came out yesterday and said he is rejecting the results. He says the elections were marred with so many inconsistencies.

Raila Odinga said they will use all Constitutional and legal means available to show discontent, but he didn’t commit to going to court. IEBC announced William Ruto as the president elect of Kenya on 15th August 2022.

Missing Kenyan election official found dead

Meanwhile, the man in charge of elections at a polling station in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, was found dead days after his family reported him missing, Kenyan media outlets reported.

On Monday evening, police officers from Loitoktok, Kajiado South sub-county were alerted over the presence of the body of a middle-aged man in a forest.
