Ugandans Don’t Buy Music, Guess It’s Time To Join Politics – Rapper Recho Rey

The first Ugandan successful female rapper Mirembe Racheal known by her stage names Recho Rey has confirmed that she is qualified to join politics and people might see her names on the ballot papers surprisingly.

Recho Rey who self proclaimed herself as Black Girl Fly says the music business is not accumulating enough money the way she expected, adding that she has seen several artistes who joined politics and became successful.

The ‘Guma bakunyige‘ Hit maker revealed that she has not earned any single penny the last three months yet politicians are enjoying monthly payments despite the pandemic lockdown. She believes politics will bring food on her table and don’t be surprised when she joins the game very soon.

Ugandans don’t buy music, Guess it’s time to join Politics,” she posted.

A number of Ugandan musicians have been joining politics seeking for more survival and among them include Bobi Wine, Judith Babirye, Jose Chameleone, Khalifah Aganaga and others.
