Robert Kyagulanyi And NUP Betrayed Me – Singer Victor Kamenyo Claims

Ugandan musician Katongole Derrick known by his stage names Victor Kamenyo got very disappointed after losing the Rubaga North LC5 Councillor seat to a National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Mulwala Zacchy Mberaze.

The ‘Baveeko’ Hit maker was among the diehard supporters of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and his NUP party though he was denied the ticket at the last hour.

In an interview earlier this week, Kamenyo blamed Robert Kyagulanyi and his National Unity Platform for his loss.

According to ‘Olukiiko’ Hit maker, he would have taken the victory if he was given a NUP ticket.

He is still loyal to Robert Kyagulanyi and his NUP party despite the fact that he felt betrayed.

In August last year, Victor Kamenyo was being hunted for by his landlady after quietly shifting from the house without making payments of seven months rent.

According to the landlady, the singer was paying Shs350,000 per month but defaulted rent for seven months. He stopped paying in January 2020.

Before meeting the president, Basajja Mivule shared a video clip on his Facebook page confirming his appearance at the State House. He wanted to ask the head of State to give him instructions of power for only three days to finish Robert Kyagulanyi before 14th January general elections.
