Sanjay Tanna Drags Mukula To NRM Electoral Commission, Accuses Him Of Rigging Votes

The chairperson of the NRM electoral commission, Dr. Tanga Odoi has confirmed that Sanjay Tanna is contesting the results of the just concluded NRM leadership vice chairperson’s elections. Tanna is challenging the variations in the results tallied in all regions against the official total number of delegates who participated in the elections.

“All the results were released between midnight and 2am, it’s only my results that were released the next day. What was unique about my results? What was happening throughout the night?” – Sanjay Tanna, Capt Mukula’s competitor in CEC elections said earlier today on NTV.

Apparently, Mukula won the slot with 5,818 votes whereas Tanna obtained 4,162 votes. The two giants left the third contender Christine Harriet Akello with only 162 votes.

Mukula’s Statements;

The NRM Vice chairperson for Eastern Uganda, Capt Mike Mukula, urges his contenders to come together and unite so they can mobilise for President Museveni to win the 2021 general election.

Mukula’s remarks come shortly after Sanjay Tanna disputed the outcome of the recently concluded party leadership elections for the position of vice chairperson for Eastern region.

Mukula also says this is not the time for sour grapes, noting that no contestant is raising any complaints.

“This is the time for us as a party to come together and prepare for President Museveni to win. I call upon him to let bygones be bygones,” Mukula advised.

Mukula said Tanna’s complain is not surprising to him because he has been going to the courts of law whenever he loses in an election.

He says Tanna should not fight for leadership right now, noting that being an NRM vice chairperson is a voluntary job.

He however said that he is ready for another battle with Tanna.

“God has got a reason why he chooses people. Leaders are chosen by God and democracy is a voice of God and the voice of the people. If my brother wants to go back again for another campaign, I am ready,”. A composed Capt.Mike Mukula added.
