According to Sheebah, the battle also is helping to reshape the music industry, especially for women. Uganda’s music industry is mostly male-dominated.
Few ladies are working hard to get on top but still, they are finding it very hard as it has males who are also doing well.
The last battle that happened was between Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool. Being men, it wasn’t clear if ladies would one time also have one. But as competitive as ladies are becoming, the battle finally happened.
Cindy had wanted it before but Sheebah’s former management denied her the chance. After she left the TNS management, she embraced the challenge and accepted to battle Cindy.
She is now very appreciative of Cindy coming through to battle her, she said she can’t take the moment for granted.
“Thank you Cindy Sanyu for accepting the battle that has reshaped the music industry. For the first time in Ugandan events history, 2 local Females brought the biggest turn-up ever.
As the main event organizer and founder of Yolo Festival, I will forever hold this dearly because this was my first and definitely not the last event,” she posted.
