Having been around the music scene for close to 16 years, fans have always wondered why the gorgeous self styled Queen Karma is still single up to now.
The Nakyuka singer however feels like the right time and right person have all not come along.
She said gone are the days where women had to be subjected to prejudice on why they are not yet married.
A few days ago, Sheebah took to her social media pages to dub herself “the coolest Nakyeyombekedde.” This is a derogatory term in local culture meaning a woman who has literally failed to find a man.
The singer however defended the word saying it means an independent woman who has built herself without any man’s assistance.
Sheebah’s valid points or arguments
Sheebah also wondered why the world can’t normalize praising a single woman who has worked her way to the top but rather praises one in a marriage that has been assisted by a man.
Sheebah mentioned some of the qualities she wanted in a man.
She was questioned if by these qualities she won’t end up marrying a man herself.
Sheebah said that according to her status, she can’t marry a man because lots of classy men attracted to her are there.
“If it means staying single until I find the right man, I will do that. It’s better to be single than find a man who disrespects me. I have worked myself to the top. People should stop criticising independent single women yet they go ahead to praise the married ones who thrive on their men’s success. Gone are the days when we women had to be ruled like dumb people. I will eventually get a man of my class because class attracts class.” Sheebah said.
Past criticism and rumours of lesbianism
Sheebah has in the past been criticised by some of her followers for her social media activities of recent.
The TNS singer has maintained that she’s all about teaching independence and self sustenance to these women.
The singer’s sexual orientation has for sometime been an issue too with some claiming she’s attracted fellow women.
This was after a rumor had it in the early years of the last decade that she was in a relationship with female rapper Keko.
Some of the men she has been linked to include singer Pallaso and her manager Jeff Kiwa.
However, all these have proven to be simply rumors.
