Sheebah revealed that she joined Obsessions where she started her music career when she was 15 years. This was as she replaced Cleopatra Kohirwe, a former member of the group who was exiting it.
By the time, she joined them they were no longer the budding group of the early 2000s. Sheebah however in her concluding remarks stated a different figure from what she had mentioned earlier leading to whispers.
The Nakyuka singer added that the reason people oppose her age is that she’s so successful than them yet they are older than her. Therefore to make themselves comfortable, they try to distort reality.
“I’m currently 33 years and I started working at the age of 15. I joined Obsessions in 2007 to replace Cleo. By the time I joined, they had even already done their biggest hit song, Jangu. Most people argue about my age because they are older than me and yet I’m more successful than them. They do this in order to feel good instead of facing reality. However I joined when I was 17 in 2007 so you can do the maths,” said Sheebah.
Well a simple math test shows that if she joined while 15, she will be making 30 years of age in November this year.
If she joined while 17, then she’s going to be making 33 years just as she stated. It’s, therefore, hard to know which is which owing to the distorted records by the former TNS singer
Her former member in the Obsessions group, Hellen Lukoma last week revealed that she was celebrating her 40-years-plus birthday. She however joined the group before Sheebah and is older than her.
The self-styled queen karma however said that people can add whatever age they want to her as she doesn’t care.
