America is home to some of the most celebrated and followed sporting leagues in the world. As the oldest sporting league in America, the MLB has been entertaining the nation for over 100 years. It wasn’t until the 1940s that the game really took off. It captured the hearts and minds of those living through the bleak days of the Second World War. Back then it was the women left at home who competed in the games that entertained a nation going through the hardships of conflict.

After the end of the war the popularity of the game boomed even further and its popularity was helped by the fact that it was easy to play and required very little equipment. This meant that towns and cities across the US founded teams and everyone joined in the fun of the sport. Over one hundred years later, the appeal of the game has not waned – in fact it has continued to grow. The MLB sees bettors laying down over one million dollars each year as they look to get in on the action and enjoy the excitement of the nation’s favourite sport. Baseball is also a very successful export with over 500 million fans around the world enjoying the games the MLB offers.

NFL

With over 400 million estimated fans across the world, football is now considered to be a global sport. The NFL is however its premier league. Whilst other countries have their own leagues and teams, all are modelled on the success and excitement of the original and best: the NFL. Additionally, is a league that brings us together, creates superstars and in which opportunities to bet big and win big abound.

As the fifth most lucrative league in the world, the NHL is a rewarding and popular global league. For countries where ice hockey is not played, it provides sports fans with something a little different to enjoy. In North America, it is woven into the fabric of sport and life.
