Tragic Incidents In Kampala Claim Lives, Including Police Officer

A series of tragic incidents unfolded in Kampala, resulting in the loss of three lives, including that of a police officer.

Amidst the tragic incidents that occurred in Kampala, one of the lives lost was that of a dedicated police officer identified as Christopher Olanya.

According to police deputy spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire the incident of the officer occurred at Ntinda police barracks where the late Olanya suffered electrocution while attempting to rescue his daughter and son who had encountered an electrical malfunction.

His barefoot condition at the time left him vulnerable to the fatal electric shock .

His untimely demise highlights the risks faced by those who selflessly serve and protect the community, leaving a void in both his profession and among his colleagues.

Meanwhile the lifeless body of Olanya was conveyed to city Mortuary Mulago for a postmortem while investigations into the incident continue.

Another kid called Favour Musisa also died

Meanwhile Kampala metropolitan police deputy spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire added further that in Nansana,Wakiso district police registered an incident of drowning on Monday where Favour Mukisa a child lost her life.

Halima Nabukenya the mother reported that after rainfall her daughter had asked to play with other children. However when her mother joined her shortly after she couldn’t find Favour Mukisa.

According to a search from the authorities it was noted that the child had headed towards a water channel and it was later discovered that she had drowned according to Oweyesigyire.

Meanwhile the incidents that transpired in Kampala brought shock and grief to the affected communities as details surrounding each event are still emerging, the collective loss of three lives has left a profound impact on the local community, which mourns the sudden and tragic loss of their loved ones.
